VOLUNTEER'S NEEDED AT ALL LEVELS NOW!

 

Volunteers make the Democratic Party work. Without them we area a small group of committed activists who can get very little done.

There are really four basic things which a person should do if they want to be a good citizen of  America:

1) Vote in every election in which they are eligible.

2) Serve on a Jury when called.

3) Pay only their appropriate amount of taxes on time.

4) Volunteer with the political party of their choice.

Democracy requires constant vigilance which includes citizen participation if it is to survive. It has been said that Democracy is like two wolves - Government and Big Business - and a sheep - The Average American - sitting at a table voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom is a well armed sheep contesting the vote! Since the 2000 elections we have all seen what happens when the party of the elite, wealthy, special interests - The GOP - has overall control of the reigns of government; erosions of our basic freedoms and liberty, a widening gap between the haves and have nots, massive increase in the budget deficits and a growing foreign trade imbalance all of which leads to a meaner, crueler and poorer America - in other words, the wolves (A GOP lead Government and Big Business) have been eating the sheep (The Average American). This is an America we do not want to live in or pass on to our children.

Fresno County should be voting as a solidly Democratic County based on the overall population but it is not. We have been out-spent, out-marketed and out-foxed by the republican party. It is time to change that.

You need to get involved by volunteering a little bit of your precious time to the Democratic Party here in Fresno County. We have many opportunities and positions available which are both rewarding and fun: Precinct Captain, Precinct Worker, Volunteer Coordinator, Phone calling, Leaders at all levels, Office Workers - the list goes on and on. This is a great opportunity to meet and work with new people who, like yourself, are committed to making America a better home for all Americans and passing the blessing of liberty on to our children and grandchildren
